Fresh peas with mint:

For whoever loves nature, as much as I do, Spring is the most wonderful time of the year. Flowers are blooming, birds are singing more than ever and it’s finally strawberry season ! In this post I would like to share with you a recipe made with fresh peas and mint from my garden. I will also include a few pictures of the flower arrangements I did this month.

Quarantine Activities

As you may know there’s a virus out there called Covid19, which literally shocked the world and also forced almost the entire population to stay locked-in alone or with family.

Even if being in lockdown is hard and stressful, I decided to invest my time during this quarantine to learn new things, more precisely I wante to be able to plant my own vegetable garden, plant my own berries and fresh flowers, learning new recipes (healthy and not so healthy), learning new types of workout out and read many new books.

I spent the Christmas holidays in San Candido, a very cute and tiny mountain village located very near the border with Austria. I spent a very relaxing holiday, surrounded by nature: I went skiing with my family, walking with my two wonderful frenchies and had great time with my friends cooking and drinking good wine.

Flowers & Table Setting

In September, I started posting on the blog again and I’ve told you I wanted this blog to be more about my passions, including flower arrangement and table setting.

Therefore, in this post I want to talk about how I do table setting and share with you a few pictures of tables and flower decorations that I did during the past three months. I have recently attended a flower design course in London and I have attached a few pictures of what we have created there 🙂

Persimmon Tart | Torta di Cachi

Persimmons Tarte:

Last week, my lovely friend and photographer Christina, gave to me a big basket of organic persimmons from her boyfriend’s garden. Persimmon are my favourite Winter fruits as they are very sweet and juicy, therefore they are the perfect ingredient for cakes, compotes and smoothies. Persimmons are relatively high in calories, but very low in fat. These orange round fruits are also a really good source of Vitamins C, antioxidants and dietary fiber. I like to serve my Persimmons Cake for breakfast with a warm matcha tea or as a dessert combined with diary-free vanilla ice cream.

Warm Berry Porridge:
In London, the porridge season has officially started. Even if I truly love to have a fresh smoothie in the morning, when the weather gets colder and the sky is grey, I’ll rather have a warm and cozy porridge packed with vitamins and minerals. For this porridge I normally use blueberries, raspberries and blackberries mixed together. Berries are a very good source of vitamin C, that will boost your Immune System.

Today I’m going to talk to you about goji berries, I personally love this kind of berries because they last for months and they work well with many different dishes. I even named my little French Bulldog after this super delicious berries.

In America, and especially in California you feel that nothing is impossible and that any good idea could work, which is why I would love to move to San Francisco very soon. During my last trip to the United States, I had the chance to visit both San Francisco and Berkeley and here’s the list of my favourite healthy spots.
